Formed in November 2024 after the success of the Food and Cookery Group 1 (now k/a Aprons and Appetites) to allow other members to join.
Food and Cookery is independent, but will coordinate with Aprons and Appetites over themes, quizzes, and other arrangements.
Like Aprons and Appetites, activities will include:-
Sharing Recipes; Attending Cookery Courses; Eating out together; Fine Dining experiences; Group Cooking in Members’ Homes; Visits to Food Shows & Producers.
Update! The group name has been changed to just Food & Cookery as Group 1 is now known as Aprons & Appetites

Food & Cookery - Wakefield Rhubarb Festival
Our Food & Cookery Group enjoyed a day out at the Wakefield Rhubarb Festival this last Friday, and after perusing the various stalls, sampling some of the offerings and making their purchases they then headed to the Bridge Inn near the Hepworth Gallery for a super pub lunch.

The group met in January 2026 with the theme of Sunshine Food. Members were invited to bring along a dish to remind us of brighter times.
