WFF! - Beach Huts

In tune with the exceptionally warm weather we are experiencing at the moment, some featured works from the July 2025 meeting on 'Beach Huts and Mysteries Around Them' are included below. Each person wrote a sentence and passed it to the next person, and so on. Here are the joint contributions from Marilyn, Neil, Lynn and Halinka.

A BEACH HUT MYSTERY

With her back to the beach hut door, pouring water into the little brown teapot, Shirley did not notice the stranger standing in the doorway. The kettle had gone off the boil, so silence ensued.  That was when Shirley noticed the heavy breathing behind her.  Was this the beach hut serial rapist that everyone had been warned about? The newspaper from Tuesday was on the chair and the headline glared at Shirley. Her heart was beating wildly, what was going to happen?

'Is that tea ready yet?' asked Shirley's husband.

ANOTHER BEACH HUT MYSTERY

A shadow passed across the window of the beach hut.  Why was there someone in there?

John and Julia cautiously approached their hut, afraid to open the door and concerned with who or what they might find.  Surely it couldn't be their old friend Fred the recent escapee from prison, his fisherman picture had been all over the news.  John and Julia were rehearsing their roles and knew they had to convince their audience that it was all real.

'Let's have another practice!'
