40 of our members enjoyed a Mammoth Day Trip to Hull to visit the Museum Quarter, starting with a tour of Wilberforce House, Hull’s oldest museum and the birthplace of William Wilberforce, the famous anti-slavery campaigner.
After the tour of the house, the group split up to ramble the cobbled streets of the old part of the City, many to the Lion & Key Pub for lunch, and others to eateries near the Hull Minster and Queen Victoria Square & the Ferens Art Gallery.
Whilst Ravenshead’s residents were enjoying a warm sunny afternoon, in Hull there was low cloud and no sun making for a chilly day, so some trippers headed into the StreetLife Museum for a bit of nostalgia and warmth, and also the Hull and East Riding Archaeology Museum where 235 million years of history is brought to life.
All in all a great day out!
