During the day out in Retford some of the group visited St Swithun's church to learn about the part Retford played in Puritans leaving for America and to admire the stained glass. They also visited Bassetlaw Museum and saw the Sebastopol cannon, a memorial to the men of Retford who fought in the Crimean War.
