Trip to Cromford - 1 place left

Bus to Cromford Canal and Cafeteria giving some free time and perhaps taking a short walk to the world famous Scarthin bookshop with 100,000 new, used and antiquarian books in 10 or more rooms over three floors.  GUARDIAN ONLINE has named the bookshop as one of the best bookshops in the world.  There is also a  vegetarian cafe in the bookshop.

At approx 12.30 the minibus will go to Cromford Mills, made famous as the starting point of the Industrial Revolution. 

Entry to Cromford Mills is free, including the mill yard, shops and cafe.

Payment is required for tours and the visitor centre.

Depart from Cromford Mills at approx. 3.30pm

If interested please contact Halinka on Saturday 26th April at the Centre on Sheepwalk Lane during the u3a coffee morning or during the Weekenders meeting on Saturday morning May 3rd between 10.30am and 12 noon. Payment will be needed on the day.
