The regular Ravenshead Photography for Fun group meeting held in June had a theme of “A DAY OUT”.

Some of its members had been on a visit to Brodsworth House near Doncaster in May and showed photographs from the day. This included a walk around the extensive grounds and gardens, as well as a visit inside the house, with a break for lunch of course. Photographs shown at the meeting included some interesting shots of the house, both outside and inside, by Andy B, as well as beautiful floral displays and other features in the gardens. Judith and Terry put their photographs of the day into a short video slideshow to show members who could not attend the attractions of Brodsworth House. It was a good day out and an excellent photo opportunity, and even the weather was good, despite the forecast!

Other members chose to show their ‘days out’, ranging from Norfolk to Naxos! The Greek Island inspired a variety of photographs of ancient buildings from Andrew T, while the Norfolk shots from Andy T included a family day at the beach and coastal walks. A cruise passing by HMS Belfast and under Tower Bridge at 10 p.m. gave Judith the opportunity to capture some stunning night photography while she was on board.

The meeting then looked at the next theme for July, which is entitled “Here Comes the Sun”. I wonder what the group will come up with this time? Will anyone be brave enough to get up at 4 a.m. to take a stunning sunrise? I’m not sure that I will!
