On a beautiful June day, 16 members of the Hikers 5-8 miles group, met at the Sherwood Ranger to organise car-sharing and then travelled to Little Longstone, for a 6.5 mile walk.
The walk was led by Colin, and we passed through the Headstone, Cressbrook and Litton tunnels. We had one steep down and one steep up, but otherwise, generally level walking along the Monsal trail, and passing through the wonderfully named Water-cum-Jolly Dale.
There were some excellent views.

The Monsal Head pub offered a well-earned rest near the end of the walk and the opportunity for a cup of tea, or, for many of us, the chance to buy an ice cream!
As usual, the weather was excellent, the route was interesting and the company was good, too!
