Aboard Ada Lovelace and expertly navigated by Phil, 14 members of the Fashion group set off for a grand day out to Hope House Costume Museum.

It was another hot, sunny August day in 2026, but all the better to enjoy our scenic route to the small village of Alstonefield, in the Peak District National Park.

Hope House Costume Museum is the realisation of a dream nurtured by its curator and our host, Notty Hornblower.

Housed in a barn adjacent to Notty's home, her collection of period costumes fills every nook and cranny.
