It was a grand birthday celebration at the latest fuddle for members of the Aprons and Appetites group, aka the AA Group. Kath was delighted to discover she would be sharing her special birthday with a couple of bottles of bubbly and a strawberry cream birthday cake. With Yvonne and Judith, who also celebrate birthdays in May, it soon became a triple celebration.

The theme for the meal was “Root Vegetables,” and while we enjoyed a delicious variety of culinary root vegetables, we also tested our knowledge of true botanical roots in a lively quiz.
