On Thursday 14th August, a few members of Ravenshead u3a’s Antiques Group headed out early to Lincoln via Tuxford and Dunham Bridge, taking a last glimpse of the eight Cottam Power Station cooling towers, prior to their demolition at 11am that same day.

After attending a live auction at Golding Young Auctioneers for a couple of hours, with Group Leader John Butler winning a couple of lots, they then visited Lincoln Antiques Centre to peruse the vintage and antique offerings there, followed by a visit to the fascinating Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum, and finally a meal out at the Swan Holme Restaurant before returning back to Ravenshead.
