Research opportunity for members with hearing difficulties

The University of Nottingham is inviting people who find it hard to hear speech in noisy places to take part in an online research study. The study is testing two new “listening and thinking” games designed to support everyday listening, particularly in background noise.

The programme, called PLUS (Practice Listening and Understanding Speech), has been developed with people who have hearing loss and aims to improve listening skills through short, engaging exercises. The research has been reviewed and approved by the University of Nottingham Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee.
