In May 2025 our Ravenshead u3a Antiques Group headed out to Hemswell Antiques Centre near Gainsborough, on an old RAF airbase, which claims to be the largest antiques venue in Europe.
With 4 separate two storey buildings crammed with antique, vintage and retro items representing hundreds of dealers, there was plenty to see.
After a 75 minute journey, all 12 members headed into the cafe for coffee, before commencing their tours of the adjacent two buildings and returning to the Cafe for lunch.
Not every member toured all the 4 buildings, but some found things they were specifically looking for, and others picked up impulse buys that appealed to them.
By the time the group got back on the yellow Mini coach, there were plenty of smiles, stories and purchases to enthuse about.
