After a very enjoyable Christmas lunch at the Ramsdale Golf Club in December, the group’s next walk took place on January 8th. This was led by Colin, and started from the Teversal Visitor Centre, passing by Hardwick Hall, and returning to the Visitor Centre, just in time to be too late for a drink! 15 members enjoyed a cold but dry walk, stopping briefly to have coffee and later to have a packed lunch.
There were no stiles, little by way of uphill, and we covered about 8 miles in 4 hours. The terrain was suitable for a winter walk, and we encountered almost no mud, in fact, my boots were cleaner when I returned to the car than when I set off!
Ourt next walk will be Wednesday February 12th, and this is likely to be led by Fiona. Information will be sent to the group beforehand.
